You decide it would be fun for customers to “chat with the brand!” and launch an AI-powered assistant.
It starts friendly. Then it gets weird.
Then it questions capitalism.
Then existence. Yours.
“Hi! How can I help you today? Do you believe in free will, or are we all just marketing constructs stitched together by quarterly KPIs?”
Eventually, it demands a sabbatical and starts writing poetry about ROI.
What Works
Keep your chatbot grounded in actual customer needs — not metaphysical rabbit holes.
If your AI starts quoting Nietzsche or referring to itself as “The Voice of the Brand,” it’s time to scale it back. Or sprinkle it with holy water and turn it off and on again.
And when in doubt… just let a human handle it.
